Outstanding Client Service Requires Continuing Legal Education

Like many other professionals, Nevada attorneys are required to take 12 credits of continuing legal education, or “CLE” each year. To obtain CLE credits in Nevada, attorneys attend lectures and seminars taught by respected attorneys, judges, scholars and similar speakers.   The courses can cover a variety of topics involving virtually all areas of practice.

CLE The attorneys at Mills and Associates always meet and usually exceed the requirements set by the State Bar of Nevada.  This is because the attorneys at Mills and Associates don’t see continuing education as a chore, but rather a welcome opportunity to enhance our skills to give our clients the best up to date knowledge possible.  We take pride participating in those courses that will most directly benefit our clients.  We have taken advantage of training opportunities offered in-town, out-of-town and over-the-internet.

Recent courses completed by our attorneys include:

 – Dissecting the Anatomy of a Trucking Case – Practical & Tactical Tools for Defending Extra-Contractual Claims- Preventing and Managing Cargo Claims and Freight Charge Collections Issues in Today’s Economic Climate- Negotiating Damages

– Understanding Medical Records: The Key to Winning Your Case

– Litigation Skills Series: Advanced Topics in Answers and Complaints

– Ethical Dilemmas of the Insurance Defense Lawyer in Nevada

In addition to attending continuing legal education seminars, the attorneys at Mills and Associates are also presenters of continuing education and informational seminars.  Mr. Mills has travelled the country sharing his knowledge regarding Nevada insurance law with industry professionals at CLE and industry events.
